Protecting Your Holobox Rental: Insurance and Responsibilities
Holodxb takes every precaution to ensure our holoboxes are transported and handled with care. This guide clarifies insurance coverage and outlines your responsibilities as the renter regarding the equipment.
1. Holodxb's Insurance Coverage (During Transit):
Our Responsibility: Holodxb maintains comprehensive insurance coverage for our equipment while it is being transported by our own logistics team or designated third-party carriers to and from your designated event location. This covers risks such as damage, loss, or theft during the shipping legs of the rental.
Verification: You are welcome to request proof of our transit insurance if required for your event or venue.
2. Your Responsibilities as the Renter (During Event Period):
Your responsibility for the holobox typically begins once the equipment is delivered to your designated setup location and ends when it is officially collected by the Holodxb team. During this period, you are responsible for:
Care and Custody:
Treating the holobox with care and ensuring it is operated by trained personnel (if applicable) or as per our instructions.
Protecting the equipment from theft, loss, damage, and exposure to adverse conditions (e.g., extreme weather, liquids, unauthorized tampering).
Ensuring the holobox is placed in a secure location during non-operating hours or when unattended.
Reporting Damage/Loss:
Immediately reporting any damage, loss, or theft of the holobox to Holodxb.
Providing necessary details and cooperating with any investigation or insurance claims.
Financial Liability:
Damage: You may be held financially liable for any damage to the holobox that occurs while it is under your custody, beyond normal wear and tear. This includes damage due to misuse, negligence, or accidental events not covered by your own insurance.
Loss/Theft: In the event of loss or theft, you may be liable for the full replacement value of the equipment.
3. Your Own Insurance (Recommended):
Event Insurance: We highly recommend that you (the renter) secure your own event liability insurance that covers rented equipment. This is a standard practice for events and provides an additional layer of protection for you against potential liabilities during the rental period.
Check Your Policy: Review your existing business or event insurance policies to understand their coverage for rented equipment.
4. Inspection Upon Delivery and Collection:
Upon Delivery: You (or your designated representative) should inspect the holobox upon delivery. Any pre-existing damage should be noted and reported to the Holodxb delivery team immediately.
Upon Collection: Our team will conduct an inspection upon collection. Any new damage identified will be noted and discussed with you.
Your Rental Agreement:
The specific terms and conditions regarding insurance, liability, and responsibility will be clearly outlined in your Holodxb rental agreement. Please read this document thoroughly. If you have any questions, contact your Holodxb account manager.
