Rapid Response: Addressing Holobox Malfunctions During Your Event
Unexpected issues can arise even with the most reliable equipment. If your Holodxb holobox malfunctions during a live event, quick and calm action is key. Follow these steps before contacting our emergency support.
1. Stay Calm and Assess the Situation:
Identify the Problem: What exactly is happening? (e.g., No image, flickering, strange noise, unit shut down, etc.)
Note the Time: When did the issue start?
Last Known Good State: What was the holobox doing just before the malfunction?
2. Immediate Safety Checks:
Smoke/Burning Smell: If you detect smoke or a burning smell, immediately disconnect power from the wall outlet and ensure the area is safe.
Spills: If liquids were spilled, disconnect power and wipe the area carefully without disassembling anything.
Physical Damage: If the unit has been physically damaged (e.g., knocked over, cracked glass), ensure no one interacts with it further and disconnect power if safe to do so.
3. Basic Troubleshooting (Quick Checks):
Power Cycle: If the unit is frozen or behaving erratically, perform a quick power cycle: turn it off, wait 10-15 seconds, and turn it back on.
Check Cables: Ensure all power and content cables are firmly seated at both ends (holobox and source device).
Content Source: If the issue is content-related (e.g., video stopped playing), check your content playback device (laptop, media player) to ensure it's still running correctly. Try restarting the content.
Input Selection: Confirm the holobox is still on the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, USB).
4. Consult On-Site Technical Support (If Applicable):
If you have a Holodxb technical support specialist on-site or included in your rental package, immediately alert them to the issue. They are trained to handle these situations.
5. Contact Holodxb Emergency Support:
If you cannot resolve the issue with basic checks and do not have on-site support:
Call Our Emergency Hotline: Locate the emergency support number provided in your rental agreement or on our website.
Provide Details: When you call, clearly explain:
Your name and company name.
Your event name and location.
The holobox model experiencing the issue.
A precise description of the malfunction.
Any troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
Follow Instructions: Our support team will guide you through further steps or dispatch assistance if necessary.
Important Reminders:
Do NOT Attempt Repairs: Never attempt to open or repair the holobox yourself. This can void your agreement and cause further damage or injury.
