Setup & Operation
Getting Started with Your Holodxb Holobox
Operating your Holodxb holobox is designed to be user-friendly. This guide covers the essential functions for everyday use. Always refer to your specific model's user manual for detailed instructions and advanced features.
1. Turning On the Holobox
Ensure Power: Confirm the holobox is securely plugged into a power outlet and all connections (power, content source) are firm.
Locate Power Button: Find the main power button on the holobox unit. It's usually on the back, side, or bottom, or indicated by a universal power symbol (⏻).
Press Power: Press the power button once. You should see an indicator light illuminate (often blue or green), and the display will begin its start-up sequence, often showing the Holodxb logo.
Using Remote (If Applicable): If your holobox comes with a remote control, you can usually power it on using the dedicated power button on the remote.
2. Playing Your Holographic Content
Once the holobox is on and your content source is connected:
Select Input Source: Use the remote control or the control panel buttons on the holobox to select the correct input source. For example, if your laptop is connected via HDMI 1, select "HDMI 1" from the input menu.
Activate Content on Device: On your connected content playback device (laptop, media player), start playing your holographic video file.
Verify Display: The content should now be visible as a hologram within the holobox. Check for proper aspect ratio, clarity, and sound (if applicable).
USB Playback: If playing directly from a USB drive, navigate to the media player menu using the remote, select "USB," and then choose your desired video file to play.
Looping Content: Most internal media players or external playback software allow you to set content to loop automatically, ideal for continuous displays at events.
3. Adjusting Settings (Basic)
Volume: Use the volume buttons on the remote control (or holobox panel) to adjust audio output if your content includes sound.
Brightness/Contrast: Some remotes offer quick access buttons for brightness or contrast, or you can access these via the main menu settings for finer adjustments.
Input Switching: Use the "Input" or "Source" button on the remote to switch between different connected devices if you have multiple content sources.
4. Shutting Down the Holobox
Proper shutdown ensures equipment longevity.
Stop Content: Stop playback on your content source device.
Power Off: Press and hold the main power button on the holobox unit (or press the power button on the remote control) until the unit powers down. The indicator light will usually change color or turn off.
Disconnect Power (Long Term): For prolonged storage or after your event, it's recommended to unplug the holobox from the wall outlet.
Important Reminders:
Avoid sudden power cuts while the unit is operating.
Do not block ventilation ports during operation.
Always handle the holobox with care.
